Sewer Backup Cleanup Services

Digital Proposals will be received for the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (“MSDGC”) by the City of Cincinnati (the “City”), as sole management agency for the operation and maintenance of MSDGC at the following website:

All proposals must be submitted electronically only via the City’s Bonfire portal at the above link. Responses submitted by hard copy, mail, or e-mail will not be accepted. See “RFP Submissions” at Section 1.9 of the RFP for details.

Deadline is 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2026

As of 12/18/2025, interested parties may download RFP Documents from the Cincinnati Bonfire website and should frequently return to the site to monitor for project-specific updates and addenda.

Questions on this project or any part of the RFP Documents must be sent via e-mail to Joshua.tucker@cincinnati-oh.gov by the established deadline. The deadline for questions is 1:30 PM local time on Friday, January 2, 2026.

A brief description of the services sought:

The City of Cincinnati, through its Department of Sewers (the “City”), as the sole management agency for the operation and maintenance of the sewer system on behalf of the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (“MSDGC”) is issuing this Request for Proposals (hereinafter “RFP”), pursuant to the provisions of applicable Ohio law and MSDGC policy, from parties (hereinafter “Offeror”) and is seeking responsive proposals to provide services for water damage restoration in residential, commercial, and institutional buildings, and the systems and personal property contained within those structures. Work will be assigned on an as needed basis to clean the immediate effects of a qualified capacity-related sewer backup into buildings from MSDGC’s sewer system (both combined and sanitary portions).
