The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSDGC) is seeking a contractor for the
supply and delivery of Sodium Bisulfite Aqueous Solution. Sodium aqueous bisulfite solution is
an aqueous solution of the chemical sodium bisulfite, assigned CAS number 120002-56-4. The
solution shall be at least 38% by weight sodium bisulfite. Orders will be placed on an as-needed
basis.
This neutralization chemical is used in the treatment of wastewater at various facilities and
treatment plants. It is critically important to have a continuous and reliable supply of this chemical
so that wastewater treatment operations may continue uninterrupted.
There are approximately 4 bulk delivery locations with varying minimum delivery amounts ranging
from 3,000 to 4,000 gallons per order.
All deliveries are required to be fulfilled within 5 calendar days after receipt of order.
If a contract is awarded, it will be done so in accordance with the Contract Documents, including the method of award identified in Volume 1 of the bid documents. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or to advertise for new bids, if the best interests of the City will be promoted thereby.
