In general, the proposed Locust Street and Muchmore Road Local Sewer will benefit 37 total parcels: four single family parcels, one charity, and 32 condominium parcels, eliminating five household sewage treatment systems and a private wastewater treatment plant. the proposed local sewer will outfall to S.S No. 3249. MSD proposes constructing approximately 800 linear feet of gravity sewer, five sewer laterals, and other sewer appurtenances.
The work takes place in City of Cincinnati’s Columbia Township neighborhood in Hamilton County, Ohio. This project begins at 4149 Muchmore Road, running south to 4085 Walton Creek Road, and northeast to 4149 Walton Creek Road.
If a contract is awarded, it will be done so in accordance with the Contract Documents, including the method of award identified in Section H of the Instructions to Bidders in Section 00 21 13. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or to advertise for new bids, if the best interests of the City will be promoted thereby.
This project will utilize Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) funding. As such, as a condition of receiving capitalization grants from U.S. EPA for the WPCLF and the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA), the Ohio EPA negotiates “fair share” Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) objectives with U.S. EPA. The current negotiated goals for construction related activities are 1.3% of all contracts to MBEs and 1.0% of all contracts to WBEs. Bidders are cautioned to read, understand, and complete the WPCLF forms in their entirety. Failure to do so may render the bid non-responsive.

The MSDGC will conduct a pre-bid meeting for this Project. The date, time and location of the prebid meeting will be identified in an addendum. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is encouraged but is not mandatory.
This project is for the demo, removal, and disposal of the existing boiler including piping, flue, and associated appurtenances and to install a functioning hot water boiler system as specified in the bid documents.
The estimated cost of construction for this project is: $595,000.00

The established SBE Participation Goal for this project is: 14%.
