For PID 10142952: East Branch Ohio River Interceptor (EBORI) Extension, Gest Street Tunnel improvements as a component of the EBORI Extension Project:
• Construct 2,100 LF of 108-inch diameter storm sewer from Gest/Freeman to existing McLean Ave Sewer in the Queensgate railyard; includes construction of launch and receiving shafts.
• Construction within receiving shaft: connect 108-inch storm sewer to existing McLean Ave Sewer, bulkhead existing sewer to separate stormwater from combined overflow, connect MAS to EBORI upstream of the bulkhead to convey combined flow to wastewater treatment plant. Connection includes dynamic underflow control system to modulate flow during typical year events.
• Modification within existing McLean Ave Sewer upstream of bulkhead: removal of CSO 431 tide gate and CSO 666 bulkhead, modification of CSO diversion dams to promote flow to CSO 666 outfall.
• Clean, inspect, and line existing McLean Ave Sewer from 108-inch storm sewer to Mill Creek Diversion at 7th St.
At the completion of the tunneling operation, the launch shaft will be turned over to ODOT for their use in constructing the upstream storm sewer system that will discharge to the 108-inch storm sewer.
