A brief description of the services sought:
The City of Cincinnati is seeking responsive proposals to provide a Biologically Aerated Filtration (BAF) system to be retrofitted into the existing secondary treatment building at the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati’s (MSDGC) Little Miami Wastewater Treatment Plant (LMWWTP) as part of the Electrical, Primary, and Secondary Treatment Improvements (EPS) Project.
In preparation for detailed design of the EPS Project improvements, MSDGC is requesting proposals from prospective BAF system suppliers (Offeror) to furnish a BAF system that can meet the performance requirements and conceptual design criteria presented in this RFP and the Conceptual Design Report (CDR) attached to this RFP. Based on the proposals received, MSDGC plans to select an Offeror to partner with the EPS Project Team to develop detailed design drawings and specifications for the BAF system to be installed and commissioned by an Installation Contractor selected by MSDGC under a separate contract. Following MSDGC’s selection of an Offeror, the Offeror will work with MSDGC to finalize an agreement for the Offeror to design and furnish the BAF system and support its installation and commissioning. The Offeror’s negotiated agreement with MSDGC may be novated to the Installation Contractor at the start of construction.
