Fyffe Avenue Sewer Replacement

Digital Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) will be received for the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (“MSDGC”) by the City of Cincinnati (the “City”), as sole management agency for the operation and maintenance of MSDGC at the following website:

All proposals must be submitted electronically only via the City’s Bonfire portal at the above link. Responses submitted by hard copy, mail, or e-mail will not be accepted. See “RFQ Submissions” at Section 1.10 of the RFQ for details.

A brief description of the services sought:
The intended scope of this project will be the replacement of approximately 2,000 linear feet of 15, 18, 22, and 24-inch diameter clay pipe installed in 1926, and the replacement or rehabilitation of approximately 800 linear feet of 12- inch concrete pipe installed in 1954. These sewers are located along the hillside running between Fyffe Avenue, Saffer Street, and Yoast Avenue in the East Westwood neighborhood of Cincinnati. It is anticipated that professional engineering and related consulting services shall be provided to support the referenced project during the planning, design, and construction phases.

Sealed Proposals endorsed “Madeira Municipal Plaza” will be received at the office of the City Manager, City of Madeira, 7141 Miami Avenue, Madeira, Ohio, until 11:00 o’clock am Local Time, on Friday, March 24, 2023, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chamber of the City of Madeira for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete work, in accordance with the bid documents and specifications to be made available Friday, March 24, 2023.
Renovate an existing 3,500 s.f. plaza and portions of adjacent parking lot. The work will include demolition (asphalt paving, storm sewer, curbing, lighting, brick planters, pavers, tree, shrubs), grading and soil mixes, installation of paving (asphalt, clay pavers over a concrete base), seat wall, stairs, electrical, restriping, sealcoating, landscaping, and site furnishings.

Each bidder is required to furnish with the proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Performance Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 through 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
All proposals shall be made and properly executed on proposal forms as issued by The City of Madeira and bound together with other documents and specifications. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. Work shall be substantially completed and acceptable by December 31 , 2023.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
The Council of the City of Madeira shall authorize acceptance of the bid made by the responsible bidder who, in Council’s judgment, offers the best and most advantageous proposal, considering quality, service, performance record, and price; or Council may direct the rejection of all bids. Council may waive any irregularities and reject any or all bids.
