A brief description of the services sought:
Congress Run is a tributary stream to Mill Creek located in the Hartwell neighborhood of the City of Cincinnati that runs along the MSD-Wastewater Collection Division (WWC) facility (located at 225 W Galbraith Road, Cincinnati, OH 45215).  The stream was modified during the construction of WWC facilities near Galbraith Rd in the 1970s which altered the hydraulics of the stream. This project will alleviate the issues created by the original modifications so that stream bank erosion no longer poses a threat to the existing MSD infrastructure. Severe downcutting and lateral erosion have been observed along the entire length of the stream along the MSD owned property. Erosion has reached a point where it is now threatening to interfere with the WWC facility’s storage yard and parking lot. WWC has expressed their desire for a naturalized design approach in order to mitigate the erosion issues. This approach should be considered during the planning phase of the project.
