WINTON WOODS ACCESSIBLE CANOE/KAYAK LAUNCH

Sealed bids, in duplicate, will be received by the Board of Park Commissioners of Great Parks of Hamilton County at the Winton Centre, 10245 Winton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 for the Winton Woods Accessible Canoe/Kayak Launch, located at 10245 Winton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231, as set forth in the Drawings and Specifications.

The project consists of installation of an accessible canoe/kayak launch on Winton Lake. The base bid includes installation of a gangway and concrete abutment at the existing seawall, floating dock and pilings. The base bid also includes the removal of an existing gravel canoe/kayak launch and the installation of a kiosk with concrete footings. ALT C-1 Concrete Steps and Walk Construction includes the installation of concrete stairs and metal railings and concrete walk.

Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly designated on the outside of envelope with the project name. Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Winton Centre Auditorium. All attending the bid opening shall wear face coverings and follow COVID-related social distancing practices.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Winton Woods Boathouse.

Bidding Documents may be viewed at McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge and ACI plan rooms. The legal advertisement may be viewed at www.greatparks.org.

Bidding documents shall be obtained from ARC Document Solutions, 4219 Malsbary Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242, 513-326-2300, at contractor’s expense (no refunds).

This project is funded in part by an Ohio Department of Natural Resources NatureWorks grant. Contractor responsibilities for meeting the requirements of this grant are described in the bid documents.

Contracts for work under this bid will obligate all Contractors to comply with prevailing wage rates established by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration.

Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Performance Bond meeting the requirements of Sec. 153.54 & 153.571 O.R.C. executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio in the full amount of the proposal, including add alternates. In lieu of a bid bond, a certified check may be substituted, payable to the Owner in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal amount, including add alternates. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the bid opening date.

Great Parks of Hamilton County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The proposed Mayhew and Leath Avenues Sewer Replacement project will replace failing sewer segments 24312016-24312029 and 24312016-24312029, shifting the sewer alignment away from the residence located at 420 Leath Avenue.

This project is located Mill Creek sewer shed of the Central Basin in Delhi Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. This project is located between the intersection of Leath Avenue and Mayhew Avenue and 4204 Delhi Park.

The estimated cost of construction for this project is: $813,630.00
