MIAMI WHITEWATER FOREST
PUMPHOUSE MODIFICATIONS
Sealed bids, in duplicate, will be received by the Board of Park Commissioners of Great Parks of Hamilton County at the Winton Centre, 10245 Winton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 for the Miami Whitewater Forest Pumphouse Modifications, 9001 Mt. Hope Road Harrison, OH 45030, as set forth in the Drawings and Specifications.
The project consists of modifications to the existing pumphouse and surrounding areas in preparation for future development of the area by Great Parks of Hamilton County. Work includes demolition of the pumphouse roof structure, pond structure, surrounding walkways and site features, and a new pumphouse roof and structure, lighting, modifications to the surrounding walkways, and new site grading and drainage. The existing pumphouse is a single story building that was originally constructed to house equipment for an adjacent water feature and wet play area. The wet play area has been removed and all associated utilities will removed/vacated at the conclusion of this project. The water fountain feature and all associated utilities will remain. Mold is present on the interior of the Pumphouse. It is believed that the mold is limited to the Pumphouse roof structure and will be remediated as part of the building selective demolition work.
Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly designated on the outside of envelope with the project name. Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Winton Centre.
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the project site. We will meet at the main entrance to the Miami Whitewater Forest Harbor Building.
Bidding Documents may be viewed at McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge and ACI plan rooms. The legal advertisement may be viewed at www.greatparks.org.
Bidding documents shall be obtained from ARC Document Solutions, 7157 East Kemper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249, 513-326-2300, at contractor’s expense (no refunds).
Contracts for work under this bid will obligate Contractors to comply with prevailing wage rates established by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration if their total bid amount is $75,000 or more. Prevailing wage rates shall not apply for bids under $75,000.00.
Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Performance Bond meeting the requirements of Sec. 153.54 & 153.571 O.R.C. executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio in the full amount of the proposal, including add alternates. In lieu of a bid bond, a certified check may be substituted, payable to the Owner in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal amount, including add alternates. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the bid opening date.
Great Parks of Hamilton County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati will purchase on this contract its needs of supplying Lab and Field Testing Services when MSD’s lab is at capacity and/or equipment is not functioning. Needed to ensure MSD remains EPA compliant when either of those situations occurs.
Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Contract Documents.
