Sealed Proposals endorsed “Asbestos Abatement, Silverton Municipal Building” will be received at the office of the Village Manager, Village of Silverton, Ohio, until 10:00 am Local Time, on Friday, February 23, 2018, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chamber of the Village of Silverton for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete work, in accordance with the bid documents and specifications.
 Work in the Village of Silverton includes legally and safely abating all asbestos at 6860 Plainfield Road to enable its renovation into a craft brewery. The bid documents and specifications are on file and may be reviewed in The Office of the Village Manager, by way of Dropbox through isiting www.Silvertonohio.us, and at Phipps Reprographics in Silverton.
Each bidder is required to furnish with the proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Performance Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 through 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. All proposals shall be made and properly executed on proposal forms as issued by The Village of Silverton and bound together with other documents and specifications. Work shall begin immediately after award and be substantially completed and acceptable by April 20, 2018.
 All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project.  Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
This contract shall include Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage requirements. Contractors must comply with the Davis Bacon Act in the payment of prevailing federal minimum wage, and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act regarding compensation for overtime and safe working conditions in all contracts of $2,000 or more. Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 requires that, to the greatest extent feasible, in connection with work covered by this contract, opportunities for training and employment be made to lower income residents of the project area, and that contract work be awarded to business concerns which are owned substantially be low income residents of the project area.
General contractors will be required to achieve 10% Minority Business Entrepreneur participation in the contract, or clearly demonstrate and document a good faith effort to achieve MBE participation to be eligible for contract award.
The Silverton Village Council will authorize acceptance of the bid made by the bidder who is, in Council’s judgment, the best proposition for the municipality, considering quality, service, performance record, adaptability to requirements of the municipality, and price; or Council may direct the rejection of all bids.  Council may waive any irregularities and reject any or all bids.

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Park Commissioners of Great Parks of Hamilton County at the Winton Centre, 10245 Winton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 for furnishing and delivering 2018 - GOLF COURSE TURF FUNGICIDES, as set forth in the bid document. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly designated on the outside of the envelope with the bid name. Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Winton Centre, 10245 Winton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231.

Per O.R.C. 307.88, bids for each contract shall be accompanied by a bond or certified check, cashier’s check or money order in an amount of five percent (5%) of the bid.  No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the bid opening date.
