E. Kemper Road Local Sewer

SEALED Proposals will be received for the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (“MSDGC”) by the City of Cincinnati (the “City”), as sole management agency for the operation and maintenance of MSDGC at Two Centennial Plaza, 805 Central Avenue, Suite 234, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202:

A brief description of the services sought:
Carpol Avenue, Honeywell Avenue & E. Kemper Road Local Sewer is a local sewer assessment project that was initiated by a majority of benefited property owners. The project was approved by the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners in accordance with Board policy and MSD Rules and Regulations, Section 1805. The project is located along Carpol Avenue, Honeywell Avenue and East Kemper Road in the City of Sharonville. The existing treatment system consists of 56 home sewage treatment systems. The project will install new sanitary sewers in the project area to replace the existing household sewage treatment systems.
The new sewer will include installation of approximately 6,900 linear feet of 2” & 3” low pressure force main, 62 laterals, and a flush station to mitigate odors. The project was previously designed to 30% design level with gravity sewers. However, construction costs increased due to shallow bedrock and low pressure force main was recommended as an alternative. Design services, including geotechnical services and surveying, were performed during preliminary design and those firms submitting proposals should review the planning report and previous submittals when developing RFQs.
